


Stephen Mastrocola | Co-Founder, Producer
Stephen Mastrocola is a Co-Founder and Producer at Static Films. After attending film school at Chapman University, Stephen began his career in entertainment working on the 'Entourage' movie and HBO’s 'Ballers.'
After several years working as a screenwriter, selling projects to Blackpills and Fullscreen, and others through his reps at ICM Partners and Writ Large, Stephen pivoted to producing and co-founded Static Films in 2021, independently producing four features and several shorts in their first two years.
His physical production experience led him to take a position as an Executive Producer at Buffalo 8 in 2023, managing their slate of independent projects to provide guidance and support on finance, physical production, and sales to independent filmmakers.

Rafi Jacobs | Co-Founder, Producer
Rafi Jacobs is a Co-Founder and Producer at Static Films. He graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with concentrations in Photography, Film & Video, where he was a Merit Scholar and John W. Kurtich Travel Scholarship recipient.
Jacobs began his early career writing and directing his own narrative shorts, which have amassed millions of views online, as well as working in the camera and lighting departments on such titles as Peter Bogdanovich’s ‘The Great Buster,’ Best Documentary on Cinema winner at the 2018 Venice Film Festival, and many Israeli titles while living abroad.
In addition to his film work, Jacobs has exhibited his photographs and experimental video works in galleries, museums, and publications worldwide since 2012, most notably at Art/Video International (Netanya, Israel), Duplex Gallery (Geneva, Switzerland), the Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography (Detroit, USA), and the Spectacle Theater (Brooklyn, USA).
